All I Can Say is “Ha ha ha”

Yes, I know I’ve been quiet for the past few months, but there are something that I just have to discuss. One of those being Ubisoft’s new DRM system for Assassins Creed 2. In case you don’t know, the DRM system in AC2 requires an active Internet connection at all times during the game. If you somehow get disconnected (perhaps on your end, perhaps on their end), you get kicked out of the game and you have to restart from your last checkpoint. And you know what? Their little system is down.

Yes, that game that you payed for, err I mean “licensed” (for $60, that is!) can no longer be played by you! Isn’t DRM grand? Well, at least this time a LOT of people are angry about this, “corporate apologists” and all. Maybe this will be the “catalyst” that will start the removal of DRM. Perhaps.

That is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard. DRM is getting way, way out of hand lately.
